In June 2026, BFR Systems will be exhibiting for the third consecutive year at the Cheese and Dairy Products Show. Johnny Pimenta, head of the cheese division at BFR Systems, explains the importance of the show for the company’s business

Can you introduce BFR Systems?

BFR Systems is primarily a group of several companies whose activities complement each other to offer solutions to customers in the food industry. These different companies eventually merged to form the company as it is today, with its head office in Lisses (91) and three production sites in Coulommiers (77), Blyes (01) and Mauves-sur-Loire (44), as well as an agency in Brittany in Crac'h (56). The business is organised around two areas of expertise: on the one hand, the distribution of equipment from long-standing foreign partners in the processing and packaging sectors, and on the other hand, the design and manufacture of our own equipment in the fields of cutting, special machinery, robotics, technical transit and flow management.

Within this broad field, which sectors are you particularly specialised in?

Today, in the cheese and dairy products market, BFR Systems is particularly well known in the cutting sector, thanks to its expertise in fixed weight cutting, but also thanks to its extensive range of equipment covering needs ranging from compact machines to fully automated lines. Packaging is another area in which BFR stands out, especially with the arrival of new, much more demanding materials. Our skills in flow management for automatic feeding of packaging machines, combined with our expertise in the equipment of the partners we have represented for over 40 years, make us specialists in this field. Finally, specialised machinery is an activity that enables us to support our customers in mechanisation projects that may sometimes seem impossible. Listening and support are two keys to the success of these projects. And our technical teams are full of ingenuity!

After participating in the 2024 edition of the Cheese and Dairy Products Show, you will be back again for the 2026 edition. What does this trade show mean to you and your company?

This will be BFR's third time participating in this trade show. For us, it's an event with a different format, and that's precisely what makes it interesting. Unlike trade shows dedicated to machinery, which are more general and attract all types of customers, this one specialises in a very specific field: cheese and dairy products. It also allows us to be present among our customers who are also exhibiting, which identifies us as a player in their field of activity. Sometimes our customers are unable to visit other trade shows dedicated to machinery. By coming to them as exhibitors at this show, we offer them an opportunity to find out more and discuss our solutions.

Are the benefits immediate?

They are not always direct. Of course, some projects were launched during the exhibition, but it is mainly through informal discussions that we identify medium- and long-term opportunities. This allows us to stay in touch with the market and adapt our offering to potential developments.
