Exhibiting at the Cheese and Dairy products Show, Maison Bordier is launching a new butter with black Périgord truffle (3.4% Tuber Melanosporum).
Some stars are surprisingly never acted together. It's true in the movies... but it's also true in the world of butter! So with no surprise, the exceptional butter-maker Bordier has just announced its association with this exceptional mushroom, the Périgord truffle.

An upcoming alliance with chocolate

Nothing has been left to chance in this encounter: ‘To recreate this emblematic recipe, we searched for the best black truffles in France, harvested when ripe in winter by passionate truffle growers. Their slightly nutty notes, captured in the butter, are perfectly enhanced by a few touches of natural truffle extract, which enhances these very special flavours and prolongs the experience in an elegant way,’ explains Maison Bordier, which also gives a few tips on how to make the most of this long-awaited butter. 'Bordier black Périgord truffle butter is best enjoyed on its own on a slice of good, lightly toasted bread, or simply to sublimate pasta, an egg scramble, a mashed potato or a risotto.
